Welcome to My Blog!

One of my favorite quotes which exemplifies my work is this: “Some days you will be the light for others, and some days you will need the light from them. As long as there is light, there is hope, and there is a way.” -Jennifer Gayle

It is with the greatest joy that I am beginning this next step in my journey! My website is now live and I am actually going to be a blogger! I certainly will have a lot to learn and I invite you to join me on this journey. What I do know is what my passion is and what I want to share with those that follow me.

I was born a nurturer, always feeling compassion and care for the life of things around me. Growing up as part of a large family on a dairy farm there was always something that needed to be nursed back to health.. I tried to nurse any little being that I encountered... from birds, rabbits, kittens, even field mice.. you name it and I tried to save it. And so, the profession of nursing came as a natural fit for me. At the core of nursing is the belief that human caring is sacred and I do believe that assisting in the healing process is my calling and purpose.

As I am sure you know from my website, I am a Registered Nurse with over 38 years of hospital experience. I am very well trained in the science behind allopathic medicine. And there is no denying the amazing advancements that they have made in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. I am a cancer survivor myself and may not be here today without the treatment that was offered to me. I am very spiritual as well, and very aware that including the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of who we are is essential for true healing to occur. All healing begins with self healing, and it is my belief that our thoughts, beliefs, intentions, and prayers are very powerful sources of energy and have a tremendous influence on our health and well being.

And to add a comment on my opening quote and what it means to me. I believe that we are all here to help one another. That kindness is what matters. We all have days when we need a helping hand, a warm smile, a good laugh. And there are days that we can offer that help to someone else. In my work at White Angelica I receive as much as I give. Every day. It is such blessing to share this work with others!
